Upcoming Speaking Event
I will be speaking on Saturday, October 24 at the Semi-Annual Meeting of The Masonic Society at Freemasons’ Hall, 525 N. Illinois Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. The theme of the day’s program is Rededicating the Craft.
On the program with me includes:
- The Most Worshipful, The Grand Master of Indiana, Charles Marlowe, who will be delivering the keynote address
- Mark Tabbert — The George Washington Masonic Memorial and electronic records for researchers
- M.W. Roger VanGorden — All Masonry is Local
- Jose Diaz — Notes on teaching the Craft: The Millennials’ View of American Freemasonry
- Chris Hodapp — Reviving a failing lodge
- Chris will also lead a discussion on the ‘Dan Brown Effect’ on the fraternity
I will, of course, be speaking on the subject of The Gentleman Mason. I’m still tweaking the speech, but I’ve had it largely finished for quite some time. I’ve given a number of speeches to Masonic audiences during my time in the craft, but this is the first one for many years. It’s also going to be something of an unusual speech that I hope and believe you’ll enjoy.
Registration for the event — which is open to everyone — is required and will cost $65 per person, which includes admission to the meeting, the luncheon and banquet afterward. Visit the Society’s website (linked above) for more information and to make your reservations.
